Addition cured silicones (platinum catalyst) do not require moisture or open air for it to fully vulcanise. These silicone are designed to cure at room temperature, however heat can be used to accelerate the cure if required, without any detrimental effect. Minimal shrinkage(if any) occurs with these rubbers. These silicones generally have specialised features (i.e. can be used with food, resist higher temperatures etc) Addition cured silicones will not cure properly if poured onto items containing sulphur (such as some sculpting clays). You are required to be accurate with your measurment with these RTV 2 silicones as they  are prone to fail if not done so correctly.
