This set is based on a selection of traditional Chinese carvings. The Chinese claim to have invented chess over 2000 years ago and Chinese craftsmen have traditionally used Indian ivory for their art. During the 18^th and 19^th centuries countless chess sets were produced for Western collectors. These were mostly produced in and around Canton, Macao and other parts of South East Asia.

You will find in this box nine rubber moulds,

• one King
• one Queen
• one Bishop
• one Knight
• one Rook 
• Four Pawns.

The height of the King is approximately 135mm.

We recommend using a either Hydrostone TB Gypsum or Casting Resins to cast your pieces.
